27. Happy New Year. Happy New “You” Year!

A New Year. Our New Year.

After this past year, I would say that is EXACTLY what we need! I think it is a perfect time for all of us to start thinking new. We can start out small. Or, if we are really brave and have some fierce and hopeful new ideas, we can start out BIG! Go for it! Whatever it is, whatever you have in mind…let it be NEW and EXCITING and POSITIVE. Let it fire up your engine and put a smile on your face…and HOPEFULLY on someone else’s too!

We should let ourselves, NO…we should ENCOURAGE ourselves to feel free and adventurous and anxious to explore. To be enthusiastic about trying a new way of thinking. -OR- To allow ourselves to feel inspired to entertain a new willingness to try different things. It could be anything from trying new food, to trying out new places, to trying to meet new people, to trying out a new activity…Let’s get out there and TRY!

Perhaps we could start out by doing something as simple as…posting new pictures on our dating profiles. Just the act of taking new pictures, might be fun, or even exciting. Maybe in addition to the new pictures, we could write a new profile, expressing our fresh new attitudes and optimism for the future. Maybe we might even consider taking it a step further, by trying a new dating site. Let’s be open…to something new.

I have never tried the “meet up” sites, where people with “like” interests (that are single) meet up to share the experience. I have had friends tell me that they have enjoyed themselves with these types of gatherings. I’m sure with COVID still hindering our “normal” life practices, the options are more limited, but I’m fairly certain there are still a few available. You can find them in your area or within a particular distance which you define. Probably right now, they would be more apt to be outdoor activities, such as: hiking, walking, birdwatching, snowshoeing, skiing, photography, etc. I know when music was wonderfully flooding our world, dance gatherings were popular, as were dining and wine experiences. You know, harbor cruises and such.

Let’s put our thinking caps on and stimulate some new ideas, and then follow through. I’d love to hear about ideas that you come up with. I’d like to hear your stories. My friend Fitzy is on her third new “hopeful” since the Holiday season started. God bless her, she is keeping a positive attitude and being open to new possibilities. This third fellow, I must admit, it is starting to sound like there is potential for them. I’d love for her to find the right guy and be happy and bring her wonderful light to his life.

I’m still currently buzzing around on BUMBLE. A few messages here and there, but really nothing feeling hopeful. Though I still remain so! Absolutely. I will take some of my own advice and post new pictures and freshen up my profile.

I am also going to try to remember advice that I have shared with my children as they were growing up, such as: Not all things in our heads, need to come out our mouths. -and- If I don’t have anything nice to say, I don’t have to say anything. -and- Always consider the other person’s feelings. -and- Like attracts like…Positive energy shall bring positive energy, etc. I think that gives me a good starting point. How about you?

Have a wonderful week. I hope to hear about anything new that you try. Stay safe and healthy! Thank you so much for stopping by. Adrienne
