Introduction

Welcome to my Blog. I’m Adrienne. Thanks for joining me. I look forward to sharing ideas & exploring the possibilities of what dating at 50, 60 & beyond might hold in store for us…with the right mindset.

I’ll get right to it! I was married for 25 years, then divorced. A year later I reconnected with an “old beau” and with the whole “love at first sight” thing happening for us (or actually at “second sight” in this case), we were back in love and engaged for four years. That one, felt like it broke my heart. (There is more about my story, on the About Page.) We split nearly 5 years ago. I have dated since, but no one, has felt like the “right one” again…yet.

I have decided to start this blog to Refine my own Dating Mindset, share the experience and invite you to take the journey with me. It’s not that I don’t have a lot of experience dating…I do! However, at 50, 60 & beyond it is clearly different than say, at 20, 30 or even 40. It is apparent to me, that I am not currently, effectively dating. I need to review where my heart and mind are. Do you? I have been wondering; Am I setting expected standards too high? Am I being unrealistic with dating goals? Am I not being open and flexible enough? (Unfortunately, my truly flexible days are over! lol!) Have I not been “all in”? What about you? Does any of this resonate with you? Well, I know I am “all in” now, and I am anxious to refine my dating mindset, and give it all I’ve got. And I do feel that I have a lot to offer, as I’m sure you do.

Let’s explore together the various avenues available to us. I want us to share thoughts and ideas and stories here weekly, in such a way that no matter their outcome, we all walk away with positive and valuable information. Ultimately, I hope we end up sharing stories of finding love here as well.

(NOTE: Posts are numbered. Most recent are at the top. Please scroll down to follow along with the start of this blog. In the not so distant future…there will be an additional section sharing short dating stories (mine and others). I look forward to publishing these, what are sure to be, uniquely funny, and informative tales.)
